How can I edit the name of an existing tag so that new tag shown on all previously tagged items?  Now that I have a little more experience with Box, I realize that some of my initial tags are not quite descriptive enough and would like to make them longer.  Not only would I like tag name to change everywhere, but also that the previous short name won't pop up as an option in the future.

Thanks.

I did see that article, which did not answer my question, which is why I posted it.

Again, how do I edit the tag name once it has been created, for example, change "Minutes" to "Minutes Admin Meetings" without creating a whole new tag, moving everything to that, and then have original continue to pop up as a choice when I begin to type?

Hi Barry,

Thanks for clarifying on this.

Unfortunately, we don't currently offer the feature you asked about.

If this is something you would like to be able to do, I would highly recommend submitting this feature request at pulse.box.com! Our product managers review these requests and take them into consideration for future product development.

Best,

I had this same question. I solved it by filtering on the tag I wanted to change, then highlighting all of the resulting files (highlight the first, then scroll to the bottom and shift + click the bottom file), then click the Tags icon at the top right of the screen (adjacent to the 3 dots icon). A box pops up saying
