Changing Custom Subdomain

If we change our custom subdomain, will the existing links we've shared using the former custom subdomain redirect to our new custom subdomain? ie changing our custom subdomain from https://oldcustomsubdomainname.box.com to https://newcustomsubdomainname.box.com
