I have a new email that I use for work. My Box account is under my old address, which has been deleted. How do I change my default email address?

Hi Lucy, 

Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist! 

In order to change your primary email address, please start by adding your new email as your secondary email address: 

To add an email address:

  1. Click Add More Emails.
  2. Enter a valid email address.
  3. Click Save.

An email verification will be sent to the address you entered. Click the verification link in the email to confirm and add the alternate email to you account.

To make a secondary email address your primary email address:

  • Click Make Primary next to the email address you want as your primary email address.

I tried this, but received the error message "This address cannot be added to this account because it is already linked to a Box account."
