My business partner and I use Box for our business. He already had a Box account before we started our business together. The initial email he used when signing up for Box is his private Gmail. But when I send him a task or notification, we want it to arrive at his business email address. How can we change his private email to his business email address?

The end user can change their default email address on Box. 


You can start by adding an email address:


  1. Log in to box.com and navigae to your Account Settings> Login and Email Addresses (or Add a Collaborator or Link Personal Email.) 

  2. Click Add More Emails.

  3. Enter a valid email address.

  4. Click Save. 

An email verification will be sent to the address you entered. Click the verification link in the email to confirm and add the alternate email to you account.


To make a secondary email address your primary email address:


  • Click Make Primary next to the email address you want as your primary email address.
