A folder has been shared with me and my title in the parent folder and its subdirectory is "Editor". Whenever I attempt to view / download one of this files contained within this directory I receive the following message: "We’re sorry, the preview didn’t load. This document may be protected."
I have contacted the Box owner and I apparently have the necessary permissions to view the files in this directory.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have previously seen this message that you encounter when trying to preview a file in Box webapp (Box.com) happen if your network security tools are blocking several Box domains.
