Cannot set up two-factor authentication

1. I had 2-factor set up, but I was never asked for a code or received one.

2. My client wants me to use it, so I tried to set it up by deleting 2-factor, clearing my cookies, and trying to enter my phone number. It says my number is invalid.

3. So I tried using my email address, the one that's tied to my account. Same problem.

4. I'd try an authenticator, but there's no info about which ones work with Box.

5. There are hundreds of posts on this same problem, but no article saying how one might fix it. Responses to posts just say they're being referred to product support.

I've read that at least twice and it did not help.
