One of the main prerequisites to be able to install Box Drive is that you must be on the two latest major versions of macOS.
Please try updating your Mac OS to the latest version and then install Box Drive.

The iMac I use is from 2011. So the highest software can update it is High Sierra 10.13.6. Apple does not offer uppergrade more than High Sierra for 2011 models.
