I can log in from the web, but when I try to log in from the app version of BoxDrive, I keep getting stuck at the login screen.dut01HYPZPRKPX06WB88FTW0AKRG6.pngxmj01HYPZNGC0C73B2WEEGQKQ787C.png

Can you try to manually reset Box Drive to see if this will resolves the issue? Follow the steps listed below.


To reset Box Drive on Windows


  1. Exit Box Drive (if it is running). If necessary, use Task Manager to end the Box.exe process.

  2. Ascertain whether any files exist in C:\users\\USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box\unsyncedFiles. These are files that have not been uploaded to Box. If these files do exist, and if you want to keep them, copy them to any location outside of C:\users\\USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box\ (such as your desktop). Proceeding with the steps below deletes these files.

  • You may need to show hidden folders to see \AppData.

  • Delete this folder: C:\users\rUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box.

  • From RegEdit, delete the registry entries under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Box/Box to clear Box preferences.

  • Restart the Box Drive and follow the prompt to log back in.

Hi Ann!


I have the same issue as above and tried to follow these steps to remediate, but no luck.


I got to the RegEdit step, and my system says it's unable to delete all the preference files.


 


Any other path on how to resolve would be appreciated! I see this issue posted all over the forums, so it seems to be wide spread enough to need some definitive communication? Thanks for anything you can do!


 


For whatever reason, I found that running the login page from Safari instead of Chrome allowed my box to start working again.
