Cannot create a new password

I need to create a password in order to CHANGE my password that is requested to view the file that was sent to me. When I create a password in my account I get an error.

    If you haven't tried it yet kindly use the link app.box.com/reset to generate a new password reset link. As you receive the password reset email please create a new password.
