I wanted to change from SMS 2FA to a authenticator app, and had to first remove my SMS 2FA to be able to do so.

Then, two problems arose:

- When trying to activate the 2FA with an app, it will keep 'generating' the QR code, but never show one, so I cannot add it (I tried different browsers already)

- When trying to activate the 2FA with sms (like I had before) it keeps saying that my phone number is not valid, whereas I am sure it is correct (I tried with / without country code, etc)

The result is that I now cannot configure 2FA. Can you please fix this asap?

Hi there,

Welcome to Box Community and glad to help!

I opened a ticket in regards to your 2FA issue. Our Product Support team will get in touch shortly and please keep an eye to your email.

Thanks for posting!

I am having the same issue.  I removed SMS authentication as my company is moving to a new softphone service today and my IT department is unclear on whether our forthcoming provider offers SMS capability.

I wanted to re-enable 2FA as one of my customers requires it for collaboration.  Box is however telling me that the email address I selected is invalid (not true, and also I didn’t select anything - it told me it would just use my default address).  When I try to generate a QR code for my authenticator app (Duo), nothing ever loads.  I have tried this on both Chrome and Edge.
