I need to change my default email address in my BOX individual account
followed the instructions 


To add an email address:
Click Add More Emails.


  1. Enter a valid email address.

  2. Click Save.

An email verification will be sent to the address you entered. Click the verification link in the email to confirm and add the alternate email to you account.


i did this and got a message saying it had been done successfully but when i looked at my Account page i see the message
There was an error while trying to add xxxxxx @outlook.com to your account.
thats not too helpful really ! tried another alternate email address and got same message   Help please :-(

Here are some troubleshooting steps to try:


1. Make sure that the browser is up to date
2. Clear the browsing history
3. Temporary disable plugins/extensions, firewall, and VPN
Use a different browser
4. Check if your firewall is configured for Box apps
5. Try to connect to a different network
