Getting a "Cannot access uninitialized variable" error using Safari browser.

Files won't preview or download.

This seems to be a bug in the system. When can we expect a fix?

Hi Inika,

Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!

At this time, can you please run the following troubleshooting steps?

  • Updating your browser to the latest version

  • Clearing your browser's cache

  • Using Box with an alternate browser, computer, or network.

  • Temporarily disabling any internet security/firewall programs to test whether they conflict with Box (Note: you may need clearance or assistance from your organization’s IT department/helpdesk to do this)

  • Temporarily disabling any plugins/extensions in your browser

  • Removing unwanted extensions, plug-ins, ads, pop-ups & malware:

Hope it helps!

Hi, me and a few of my colleagues are experiencing the same issue.
We use different browsers and have tried the steps suggested above.

Anything else we can try?

Thank you

We also have the same problem.

I also have the same problem. Am using Safari on iMac. I want to send my clients a link to view some PDFs but not if they're going to get the same problem!

I am also getting the same message, it seemed to have started when I went to a paid subscription for adobe. Is there any work around?

I'm using the Brave browser on my iPhone & cleared my browser cache, but still experienced the Cannot access uninitialized variable error when trying to view a Box file as shown in the screen shot.

How do I resolve this issue?
