I can't preview any files that were shared with me at all.  I can download them or open with adobe on my computer but cannot preview.  I have tried

- signing out and back in
- closing the tab and opening a new tab
- closing the web page and reopening
- using safari and google chrome
- disabling any plug ins
- cleared my cache
- coming back the next day
- computer is too old to update but it has worked fine on this computer up until now
- have not tried a different computer, but as said, this one has worked fine for the last 6 months using box on and off

The only thing that changed was being granted access to this new file.

Hi Makena,

Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!

Looks like we need a few information regarding this issue,

  • Can we obtain a screenshot of your error? You can use this Community post to attach your screenshot.
  • What is your permission in the affected file?

To confirm your access level in a single file:

  • Locate the appropriate file
  • Click the Collaboration Icon to the right of the file name.

To confirm your access level in a folder:

  • Open the appropriate folder.

Hello,

Here is a screenshot of the error.  I just double checked my permissions and I am non the list of collaborators as an "editor".

I am experiencing this exact same problem, even with files I am the owner of. I have cleared the cache and cookies and do not understand how to solve this issue.
