Stop sending payment requests to my bank for $720 that I did not incure!. This company will be reported to our state’s Attorney General!

👋 Hi ​@Loookerr1, welcome to the Box Community! You’ve signed up to Box and started a trial account. I completely understand your concern regarding the charge, and I’d be glad to assist.

 

I’ve reviewed your account and can confirm that the cancellation was successfully submitted online after the trial period. It is currently pending deactivation. To further review and assist you with your concern about the charge incurred, please email our Cancellations team at cancel@box.com.


For reference, we offer a 14-day free trial for both business and enterprise accounts. As outlined in our terms of service, an account needs to be canceled before the end of the 14-day trial to avoid any charges.


In addition, Box is as a subscription-based service, similar to cable or internet providers. Billing is based on the subscription plan selected including number of seats (if applicable), regardless of usage. We need to receive a direct notice of account cancellation (i.e., if not done online) so we can proceed with stopping future charges.

 

We truly appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to resolve this matter.

The trigger to reporting this company to our Attorney General will be dependent on my bank receiving another payment request from the company, after this communication.

Dear ​@Loookerr1, I understand that you no longer wish to maintain the account and would like to prevent any further payment attempts related to the subscription purchased.

 

To proceed, and as part of the account verification process, we kindly ask that the account admin send a direct notice to Box at cancel@box.com. This written confirmation is required to initiate the immediate cancellation review and allow our Box Cancellations team to assess the open invoice.


Once received, they will review your account and follow up with further assistance via email.


Please note that without written consent from the account admin, the account will remain as is. As members of the Community team, we do not have access to your billing profile and are unable to process billing-related changes.
