Can't View Word Docs ("Cannot read property 'GlobalWorkerOptions' of undefined")

Is anyone else unable to view (without downloading) their Word docs when using Box online? I've been unable to for about 5 days, and I get this message when I try:

Cannot read property 'GlobalWorkerOptions' of undefined

Does anyone know what's going on? Thanks!

Yes same issue - GlobalWorkerOptions

The problem seems to be caused by the version of the browser. We were able to resolve the problem by updating the browser.

Just got an email that it has been fixed, however it has not, still getting the error.

I'm also still getting this message when I try to preview all the pdfs I have stored on my Box account "undefined is not an object (evaluating 'this.pdfjsLib.GlobalWorkerOptions')" Is it because of the platform's maintenance or is there a change in access to "free" accounts??

Hello still having issues and after 12+ days working with support. Does anybody know a workaround?

The same problem. Pdf, PowerPoint and Word doc can"t view, Cannot read property 'GlobalWorkerOptions' of undefined

Good luck to you all, been "working" with support for over 3 weeks on this now, there only solution "use Firefox or Edge" as a browser.

That sounds like "we can't do this sort of dev any more, we're all done now - sionara and bye"

My OS & browsers have not changed so Box's code base did, code can test for browser versions and use the old code or work arounds.
Better still design software to work with the browsers your users are actually using, stats which any web server can collect for you.

If there is a major design problem please pre-announce and discuss with community. Then leave it a while to judge response and what best to do...

At least the download button is readily available and works...

Sorry to go slightly out of topic but...does anyone else have a terrible experience with Box Support?!

A massive waste of time every time we reach out to them. Different people answering to the same message asking the same questions multiple times. We report thorough information and they don't seem to even read it. They send messages like "Do you still have the problem?" just to keep the ticket alive and move the ball into our field. 

Specifically to the issue in this ticket, their proposal was "can you update iOS". It cannot be a solution anyway, we have to support reasonably old iOS. And if it was working yesterday, why should it not work today, that's called regression and it's irresponsible to propose to update iOS or change browser as some of you here experienced.
