Can't open folder in Trash

Hello - I have a single folder in my Trash and no data stored anywhere else in Box.  The folder is 0.9 GB over the limit for my free account.  I can not open the folder to find and download or delete data in order to restore the rest of the files into the account.  What can I do?

Hi @kkuwona

Welcome to Box Community! We’re pleased to provide options that’ll help restore your Box content.

Once your Box content has been deleted, you’re only left with two options. You can either permanently delete or restore your content.

And given your current account type, it cannot accomodate folders with more than your available storage. In addition to that, it can only stay in your trash 30 days after it was deleted.

To retrieve your deleted content, it's worth considering an account upgrade that allows for more storage in your account.

Hope it helps! Please let us know if you have questions.

Does that mean Box is not able to allow me to even view the contents of this folder?  I did not place the folder in the trash. I would have removed the necessary data if given the opportunity.

Hi @kkuwona, even if you’re not the person who deleted the folder, it would  still go to your trash as the folder owner and I’m afraid you can’t preview contents in trash.
