Can't download files, getting messages about missing .DS_store file

Hi folks,

I have a lot of things on Box and only some of them on my local drive.  (I'm on a Mac.) Lately, when I go to try to access any of the things that aren't on the local drive, they aren't downloading.  Instead I get either the beach ball of death, or that little timer symbol that never gets past a sliver.  And sometimes I get a message that says

The file “.DS_Store” doesn’t exist. 

And it refuses to do anything.  I can confirm that the folders are still OK on Box.com, but the desktop integration isn't working.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Here's an attachment illustrating an example.  When I click on BBB MUSIC, instead of downloading the files, I get the DS store message at right.

    Having the same issue, along with other box drive syncing/downloading error issues on mac.

    Not really a fix but I found one odd workaround to allow me to download the files. I maximized/dropped down the folder with the arrow on the right of the folder, and then clicked download now on the main folder and it no longer gave me the error. If I minimize the folder, the error is still there. Very weird!
