Can't create account - "Email is already taken"

A co-worker swears she's never set up a box acct with her work email, but she's getting the above error message.  I'm an owner of the Box she's trying to get access to and I can see that she's not in there already.  Any thoughts?

This looks like the email has a Box account already associated with Box as per the error message you are receiving. I suggest that the user reset the password and sign in to Box or contact Box Product Support to dig deeper on this matter.
