I double checked that the email is correct and when I select "accept invite" it takes me to my account homepage with no files showing up

If the invitation was sent in your Box account, it should appear in your pending invitation and here's how to accept pending invites.
To find and resolve a pending invitation:
- In the left menu of your Box account window, click All Files.
- In the pending invitations panel under ACTION REQUIRED, hover on the name of a file or folder.
- To see details about the invitation, click the ellipses, "...", and select View Details.
- To decline the invitation, click the ellipses, "...", and select Decline All.
- To accept the invitation and gain access to the project's content, click Accept.
If you didn't find any, please contact the invitor and make sure they send the invite using the correct Box email.
