Can I restore files from empty folders?

I'm using free plan from Japan.
After crashed my local Box Sync folders, Box Sync app automatically synced empty folders.
I couldn't find files in trash and version history.

If I upgrade to Personal Pro or business plan, can I restore the files?

    Sorry to hear about what happened. And for your missing files, please note that we can only provide assistance to restore your files for those contents that were in the Box website.

    Did you check if your files are previously available in the Box website? If yes, here's how you can restore them. 

    Note: Box stores files and folders you place in the trash for a certain period of time.  That default period is 30 days, although Box administrators of business and enterprise accounts can shorten or lengthen it.  While items are in your Box trash, you can recover and restore them to their original locations in your Box account.  You can also search your trash to locate specific items you can recover or delete manually.
