With a new PC that has an Intel processor, I wanted to install Box Drive, but now I got the error message: "Called runscript when not marked in progress." Even after restarting it didn't work. What can I do to use Box Drive as usual again?

Hello Jeff,

Thank you for reaching out to Box Product Support. Happy to help!

I understand that you are having issues installing Box Drive due to the Runscript error that you are encountering, we apologize for the inconvenience.

As I have reviewed all the steps that you have taken already, this is possible to be a local permissions issue that is causing the installation to fail.

Can you try the following:

  1. Go to Local Disc (C:) and open the Windows folder.
  2. Find the Temp folder and right-click on it.
  3. Go to Properties >>> Security tab >>> Advanced.
  4. Click on your Windows user and change the permission to Full control.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. If you receive warning messages, click Yes and continue.
  7. Then try to reinstall Box Drive
