I'm happy to help answer your questions regarding user account and the mentioned features in Box:

1. For your first question, it depends on the type of subscription you have with Box. If you have a Starter or Business account, seats refer to both internal and external users. Each user you invite into your folders is a collaborator you are paying for, so if you invited an external collaborator who already have a Box account, this user will count towards your seats with Box. If you have a Business Plus or Enterprise account, seats refer to internal users only and you have unlimited external collaborators. Internal users, referred to by Box as managed users, are generally people within your organization.

2. For your malware question, Box Shield is the only product offering that includes Malware detection (see https://blog.box.com/malware-detection-box-shield). If this is something you are interested in learning more about, I recommend that you reach out to Box Sales Team here.

3. Lastly, if you would like to create a URL you can use to collect documents and uploads from others, using Box "File Request link" might be what you need. This feature allows you to generate a unique link you can share to others to collect documents and files.
