Box Tools won't install says it is already installed.
Checked control panel and Box Tools is not running.
Cant open microsoft office documents from web interface as it says box tools needs to be installed. Cant install box tools as it says it is already installed.

I have tried using both the msi and the exe installer to no avail.
did you ever figure this out. I'm having the same problem. A mess.
I found that the files in the C\users\username\AppData\Local\Box\Box Local Com Server\ were corrupt. I had the user log in on another computer that they had never logged into and then I copied the files that were created on the new computer back to the original. After a reboot things started working again.
I have one machine that this does not work on.I have a pi$$ed user who thinks the whole Box project is garbage and we don't know what we are doing.
I have had no contact from Box support thus far.
