Box Tools trackers

I don't believe the settings you mentioned are generally required for Box Tools to work, are you using Box from an embedded resource on another site? Could you further explain your workflow?

The link is to the 'workflow' demonstrating attempt to open in Microsoft Word from Box.com, install of tools that is apparently successful, until trying to complete the process.

The night I wrote the start of this thread, the process would complete if I turned off the cookie /fingerprint shields.  If it's not the third party cookies blocker, ad blocker, and fingerprint blocker in the browser, then what do you advise?

I don't need to fully switch from Google drive to box drive if only to get entangled with microsoft.

What do you advise?

You may have an application that is blocking Box applications such as Box Tools from running.

In addition to the above information, one of the requirements to be able to run Box tools is as follows:

Box Tools v4 requires the ability to communicate with its Box Local Com Server by making requests to 127.0.0.1:17223 (or 127.0.0.1:17224 if port 17223 is occupied) over HTTP.

An exception may need to be added to any firewalls, proxies, anti-virus or security products, and browser extensions that could potentially modify this request to http://127.0.0.1.

The ability to communicate to 127.0.0.1 over HTTP is acceptable by the following w3c standard.

I might be able to sort this out over an hour or two - I don't go into routers and other places looking for proxies extensions and firewalls enough to make it as natural as boiling eggs - so maybe the answer is stick with google drive.  It's 'out of the Box' ready to use
