We are currently using Box Tool (Box Edit) and BoxForOffice. The current settings we deployed via MS Intune. “I read the news that the BoxTool and BoxForOffice are automatically updates by itself”. Yet, we didn't manage to see the application update to latest released.
Thanks,

Hi @Phearin,
Welcome to Box Community, and we’ll help ensure that your Box desktop applications are set to auto-update!
To enable auto-updates for Box Tools and Box for Office:
Box Tools Auto-Update:
For machine-wide installations, ensure the “Box Edit Upgrade Service” Windows service is installed and running; this service checks for updates via the Box API and installs them automatically.
Use the latest MSI installer rather than older .exe installers because auto-update is disabled for .exe installations of Box Tools 3.1.8 and requires manual upgrades until fixed.
Box for Office Auto-Update:
The auto-update service is installed by default with admin rights during installation.
To enable debug logging or verify auto-update functionality, you can add or check registry keys under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Box\Box for Office\AutoUpdate
Hope it helps, and please let us know if you have question!

Thank you for your sharing information.
Box for Office Auto-Update:
We tried to check based on the registry keys provided, but we couldn't find it at all.
Box Tool Auto-Update:
As per checked, currently, we are running on 4.26. As of now, I found it currently released the 4.29. It means the machine didn't perform the auto update.
