Hi @blfit,
Welcome to Box Community, and let’s make sure your folders stay updated in the local Box folder!
First, you need to confirm if there problem errors, here’s how:
- Open the Box Drive icon in the system tray (bottom-right corner of your screen).
- Click the gear icon to open the options menu.
- Select “Error Updating # items…” from the menu. This will display a list of all problem items—local files or folders that cannot be synced back to Box.
- Review the listed problem files and note any error messages or icons indicating issues.
To resolve the error, we have listed the troubleshooting steps here.
If you did not detect any errors, you can move on to manually resetting your Box Drive application.
- Exit Box Drive (if it is running). If necessary, use Task Manager to end the Box.exe process.
- Ascertain whether any files exist in C:\users\lUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box\unsyncedFiles. These are files that have not been uploaded to Box. If these files do exist, and if you want to keep them, copy them to any location outside of C:\users\nUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box\ (such as your desktop). Proceeding with the steps below deletes these files.
- Delete this folder: C:\users\eUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box.
- From RegEdit, delete the registry entries under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Box/Box to clear Box preferences.
- Restart the Box Drive and follow the prompt to log back in.
Hope it works, and please let us know how it goes!
