Hi,
I installed today on my new Windows11 the Box Sync version 4.0.8057.0. After login Box terminates with the error
Box Sync quit unexpectedly Reason: ResourceNotFoundError: Root directory does not exist: \\?\C:\$temp
I have the LOG file ready to upload. No restart of BOX Sync or a reboot of Windows helps. Every time after BOX startup this error message appears and the system crashes.
My system variables for temp and tmp are here on C:\$temp.
However, where the "\\?\C:\$temp" information comes from, I can not understand.
Can anyone help?

Can you please try this Microsoft fix tool to reinstall Box Sync on your PC and let us know how it goes?: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed

Hello,
Yes, I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times, including possible repair tools. Unfortunately, everything has been unsuccessful so far.

Did you receive the LOG file?

Regards,

Michael

France,

I did further tests and changed my system variables for TEMP and TMP from C:\$$TEMP to C:\TEMP and now BOX SYNC starts too !
