I have tried the below but still get the same message

To reset Box Drive on a Mac:

  1. Quit Box Drive if it is running. If necessary, use Activity Monitor to force quit the Box process.
  2. Navigate to your ~/Library folder. From Finder, click Go. Then press and hold the Alt (Option) key and, from the Home menu, click Library.
  3. Ascertain whether any files exist in ~/Library/Application Support/Box/Box/unsyncedFiles. These are files that have not been uploaded to Box.  If these files do exist, and if you want to keep them, copy them to any location outside of ~/Library/Application Support/Box/Box/unsyncedFiles (such as your desktop).  Proceeding with the steps below will delete these files.
  4. Delete this folder: ~/Library/Application Support/Box/Box
  5. Refer to this section to determine whether Box Drive is operating in kernel-based or FPE mode. From Terminal, run the following commands to clear Box preferences based on the mode:
    • If Box Drive is in kernel-based mode, run command: defaults delete com.box.desktop
    • If Box Drive is in FPE mode, run command: defaults delete com.box.desktop; fileproviderctl domain remove com.box.desktop.boxfileprovider/Box
  6. Launch the Box Drive application, and follow the prompt to log back in.

If you are still having trouble, please open a support ticket.

I uninstalled Box as followed, and when I attempt to re-install, I get the following error:

The Installation Failed
The installer encountered an error that caused installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

I'm on Mac OS 11.6.5, Intel chip.

Is anyone out there? Has Box abandoned customer support?
