The integration Wiebe showed is progressing a Jira task as soon as the metadata of a document in Box is updated. We update that metadata as part of a document approval workflow.
The use case is when a project is managed in Jira and a lot of tasks concern writing documents and have them approved. Document centric processes are best addressed with Box, while generic project tasks are best managed in - for example - Jira. Having a document approved signals the project task to be progressed to the next stage.
This tool is designed to run in a Docker container, for example on AWS Beanstalk. The code is written in Node.js and since it doesn't contain anything sensitive or company specific, it's shared here https://github.com/goodgrid/etsi-document-control
