Good day, greetings, I would like to know what happened to my files in my free account that I had since 2009, that year I bought a Samsung tablet and it came with a 50GB gift box account, I had used it all these years, until recently I tried to log into my account and my data was no longer there. What can I do to recover my data?

The 50GB upgrade promotion for Samsung devices (including tablets) ended long ago (e.g., the Samsung ATIV Tab promotion ended years ago). Since you had a free account with that promotional storage from 2009, it is likely that your account was subject to the standard Free Individual plan limits and policies.
For Free accounts, Box does not support file recovery after content is permanently deleted or purged from Trash, as there is no recovery grace period for Free plans. Also, if files were deleted or lost, Box Product Support can only recover content within a 14-day grace period after deletion, which would not apply to data missing after many years.
Unfortunately, for Free accounts, once data is gone beyond the trash grace period, Box cannot guarantee recovery.
You may try these steps:
- Check your Trash folder immediately to see if any files are still there.
- If you find files in Trash, restore them promptly.
However, given the age of the account and the free plan status, full recovery may not be possible.
