Box Drive stopped working on Windows 11

Welcome to the Box Community! I'm happy to help. Kindly follow these steps to troubleshoot Box Drive.

1. Open Activity Monitor and make sure that Box (the Box Drive app) is not running. If it is, highlight it and click the quit button in the top left corner (looks like a stop sign with an "X" in it). Select "Force Quit".

2. Navigate to the Applications folder.

3. Right click on Box (the Box Drive app).

4. Select "Show Package Contents".

5. Navigate into the "Contents" folder and try to delete the "Plugins" folder.

6. If you are successful, try deleting the actual Box Drive app again from the Applications folder.

      7. Navigate to the location below and run (double-click) on the clean_box_desktop_artifacts file:

Windows: C:\Program Files\Box\Box\clean_box_desktop_artifacts.bat

     8. Re-launch Box Drive and you will be prompted to login. Box Drive can be launched from:

Windows: C:\Program Files\Box\Box\Box.exe

Activity Monitor is a Mac OS thing, not Windows 11. I've killed Box in task manager multiple times.

There is no clean_box_desktop_artifacts.bat in C:\Program Files\Box\Box

I've cleaned everything out of %localappdata%\Box and %appdata%\Box multiple times.

Not sure what I eventually did but I did finally get it working.
