It turns out that the problem is the Internet Explorerr browser set as the default for the Box application. 2F authentication works fine on my computer for example for FF browser. The question is: how and where to set Box Drive to use FF as default browser (and not IE).
I will add that in the system settings I have already set FF as the default browser.
