Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Box Community!

@Geert, thanks for sharing this information!

@MinHua, we've released a new version of Box Drive, ver. 2.24 which now includes two configurations for using Box Drive: kernel-based mode and FPE mode.

If you are seeing this error message, please follow the steps in this article on how to resolve this issue: Using Box Drive on macOS File Provider Extension (FPE) mode

Thanks for posting and let us know how else we can help.

Regards,

Sounds good to me, but I have Mac OS 10.15.7 (Catalina) and the FPE mode says it is good for 11, 12 not 10!  Where do I go for the appropriate Box drive?

It worked on a Mac mini(2012 - Mac OS 10.15+), identical to the one I am trying to use. I had to change the one I am trying to use from Mac OS 10.8 to 10.15+ in order to run other software!  My Macbook air (Mac OS 10.15.7) is currently running Box 2.24.208 with no problems.

On the Mac mini, I fail to find a Box drive system extension file.  Should there be one?

Invoking FPE via @Geert's recommendation causes an error that it is an incompatible mode.
