I wrote a script to copy directories to Box, and was about to write another function to copy directories from Box when Box Drive was released.
I tried it and it was great and it didn't seem like I needed by API scripts anymore. But our IT shutdown Box Drive access since its only Beta
and won't deploy until they can test the production version. So I want to know if the release date is going to be soon, or should I go back to writing my downloading script?
As you mentioned, Box Drive is still in beta. We haven't shared a target product release date yet. The current plan is to have a production release later this year.
ok.. I hope its soon. Box Drive really solves a lot of problems for us. I had to move back to Box Sync and it was so depressing.

It's now well in 2018. End-of-year 2017 has come and gone. Doesn't bode well for the service I guess.

We're currently on version 1.7 but the Beta is almost coming to a close. You should be on the lookout for an announcement within the next month (no date yet, but soon!). Appreciate your interest!
I was told by our IT to expect it sometime in the Sept-Dec time frame 2018. Unfortunately, I need it now and have to resort to writing my own API scripts.
