I have the exact same issue as another post.
My Box Drive downloaded fine but it wasn't syncing properly, so I deleted everything to do with Box Drive, then tried to re-download it. I know it's the new version because it's the same one I originally downloaded. I'm on a Macbook Air (v 10.15.7).
Every time I try to download Box Drive and open it, it says: "You installed an older version of Box Drive on top of a newer version. Please install the latest version of Box Drive. If the problem persists, please contact Box Support to further troubleshoot the issue."
I need this for my job. Any help is appreciated. :)
