Problem #1:


Lately, any time I wanted to access a file from Box Drive on my laptop, it would not download and open. The process would time out. After I would click to open a document, the cloud would turn into a circle/pie showing progress of download, but it would never show any progress.


 


Problem #2:


I attempted to remove and re-install Box Drive. After doing so, I get a dialogue box popping up that says I "installed an older version of Box Drive on top of a newer version."


The only thing the program lets me do is "contact Box Support to further troubleshoot the issue." That is to say, I can't even access the older version so that I can update to the newest version.


There doesn't appear to be any way to download any other (newer) version that what is available on the Box Drive website.


Any help is appreciated.

Update: I followed the steps to uninstall and reinstall Box Drive through the terminal.


The files now seem to be downloading appropriately. But I get an error message when I try to update.


Is there a problem with the update?
