I have been working fine on my box drive for last couple of months ever since it was launched for macbook M1 users.


Suddenly from today, my BOX folder disappears from my side bar, and when I try and open the folders from search bar I get the message 'Box drive is no longer running. Please re-launch the app and re-login (as needed) to continue syncing data with Box.'


since then I have re-installed the app, re-started my laptop but same. I am unable to sync files on the web from my local BOX drive! please help!!!! I cannot work without BOX drive running on my macbook.

Thanks so much France! It worked like a charm. BOX drive had not uninstalled properly and so reinstallation was not working. Going to cmd to uninstall worked.


I followed those steps without success. The installation failed. What else can I try?
