I work for a studio and rely on our Box backups to retrieve large amounts of data. Frequently, almost every time, when attempting to download or make available off line a folder of work, Box Drive Errors out. I get the warning "The device couldn't connect to the server" or the more dire, "could not connect to Box" 


Box Drive is a broken product and has been for years. Even after following the very manual resetting of Box, via a Terminal command of all things! I still get these errors. This is the only way to download the gigabytes of data I need to is with Box Drive. Its too big for the browser download. I will be escalating this to my IT department and we will begin looking for other backup solutions that work.
