I recently reset my Windows 10 laptop. Once completed, I installed Box Drive but when I enter my credentials (the proper ones, if you're wondering), the program status in the taskbar says not signed in. No errors come up. I have tried resetting Box Drive, uninstalling and re-installing it, all to no avail. I have no trouble signing in on Microsoft Edge, but I need access to my Box drive on my laptop. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi Sean,

Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

Can you perform the following to attempt and remove all the traces of Box Drive on your computer and then reinstall the app?:

  1. Quit Box Drive
  2. Uninstall the application in the Control Panel.

To remove all traces of the Box Drive application from your machine:

  1. Go to C:\ProgramData\Box and delete the Box subfolder.
  2. Open Registry Editor and delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Box\Box.
  3. Go to C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Box and delete the Box subfolder.
  4. Open Registry Editor and delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Box\Box.
  5. If the machine has multiple user accounts, login using each user account and repeat steps 3 and  4.

To reinstall Box Drive on your computer, you may download the installer in this article and follow the steps:

Let us know how it goes and if you have questions!

All the Best,

I followed these steps before contacting you with no luck. Just had the chance now to retry the above steps and this time it worked. Don't know why but I'm glad. Thank you for your help.
