box can't be launched on M1 MacBook, even I enabled in 'preference & security'

At the moment, the current Box Drive installer available to the public is not yet supported on Apple devices running on the M1 chipset.

 

With that said, we are conducting a beta program to support for Apple Silicon devices but no longer accepting new enrollments at this time as our teams prepare next steps to support further launch activities. 

In the meantime, you can access your Box content on Apple Silicon devices via the Box web application by logging into app.box.com/login.
