Best way to start folder tree

Hello! 

I need to create a folder for confidential documents. In this situation, one person will be uploading documents to the main folder. They will be copied to a couple of other subfolders. Some of these subfolders can NOT be accessed by the person uploading the documents, as an anonymous committee will be reviewing them. How can I protect these certain folders if you are using a waterfall structure with permissions? Can you create separate folders to serve as subfolders, and then password protect them and then move them in to the main folder?

    Welcome to the Box Community!

    Permissions in Box always follow our waterfall permission model. This means that when you add a user to a parent folder that same level of access is automatically inherited by all of the sub folders that exist in the structure at the time you add the user, as well as to any new folders that get created there later on. There is not a way of changing this behavior in Box at present.

    There are other Sharing feature that you can use if you just need to collect documents from others without inviting them to be a collaborator in a folder such as using "File Request link" (even those who doesn't have a Box account can use it to send you documents).
