I need help adding an existing user to our organizational account. When I tried to add the user, I got a message that the email was already used in a Box account but not associated with an enterprise. Can you help?

Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist! 


This serves as a reminder that you're adding an existing Box user. 


Here's what you can do. 


  • Continue to add the user, and when this error appears, "1 user failed to be added", ignore the error message and press the Save button again. Saving a second time will begin the invitation process.
