I am attempting to assign a new user folder access but when I try to assign the permissions, I receive the error: There was an error while editing this user. Please try again.

The folder is owned by another admin in Box, I'm curious if that has something to do with the error I receive when assigning this new user permissions to access that folder?

Thanks!

Was there a fix for this? I am also experiencing this error now.

Thank you!

Hi, yes there was.  In my instance, there was an issue with the folder owner being an Admin in Box and my permissions being Co-Admin.  The fix was to demote the Admin to Co-Admin and promote my level of permissions to Admin.

In my case, I was replacing the existing Admin who got demoted to Co-Admin.  If that isn't the case here, perhaps try another Admin in Box or the folder owner to grant those permissions?

Awesome, thanks Dean. That might be the case here.

Cool!  Hope it works as easily for you as it did here.
