Adding another email throwing an error

Hi! I had two accounts, and I was trying to delete my previous account so I could add that email and consolidate my accounts into one. I was able to successfully delete one of the accounts, but when I try to add the email for that account to my current one (the one I'm logged into) I am still getting an error. I'm guessing this is because the deletion takes a while to finish? When can I expect to be able to add that email?
