Hi,


I would need to add external users from my administrator console. I have upgraded the plan to the Business Plus because I need a lot of external users, but it is impossible to add them. The platform only allows me to add users of my organization.

Welcome to Box Community, and we’ll answer your question regarding external users.

 

In Box, external users cannot be directly added as managed users from the Admin Console because they are outside your organization.

With a Business Plus plan, you have unlimited external collaborators, but these external users must be invited as collaborators to folders or files rather than being added as managed users.

Managed users are limited to people within your organization whom you control via the Admin Console. You can track and manage external users in the External Users tab, but adding them as managed users requires that they accept an invitation to join your enterprise (and only if they are not already part of another Box business/enterprise account).
