Hi

I have a new user added to box, now I want to add that user as Collaborator to all the Folders in “All Files” means the user will have access to all the content on Box. So, How add a user as Collaborator to all parent folder.

I know the manual step, one by one, but is there any one multiple select option, please explain with images.

👋 Hi @lokesh1jha, hope you are well!

Currently, Box does not support a feature that allows inviting a collaborator to multiple folders or all files at once. Box allows you to add collaborators at the folder level, meaning you can invite someone to a folder and grant them access to all the files within it. However, if you need to invite someone to multiple individual files (not in the same folder), you’ll have to add them to each file separately.

While this feature is not available, you may submit a feature request on Box Pulse or upvote this idea: Adding a collaborator for more than one folder at once.

Another option to provide a user with access to multiple folders is to add them as a managed user instead. Please note that this requires assigning them a license/seat on your plan.

For admin, navigate to:

  • Admin Console > Users and Groups > find the user you want to provide access > click edit next to Folder Collaborations > select folders and save

For more details, please visit Users & Groups Settings. You can also check out Understanding User Management to learn about the types of users.

We do not have an available image to share about the above process, but hope the articles would help. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns! 😊
