Accumulative file size of all versions

When we save a new version of a document after editing, BOX will save a new copy with the updated version or the same file.
version v1 is 20kb and v2 is 21kb, so BOX save two copies making it 41kb
Does that mean the accumulative file size is 21kb, or the combined 41kb?
Please suggest.

    Welcome to the Box Community!

    Version history do count towards your Box storage. If you have a file with version 1 that is 20kb and version 2 of 21kb, it would take up 41kb in your account.
