About deleting files

Box Tools is an add-on feature that allows you to open and edit files stored in Box. If you are talking about accessing your Box files in your desktop environment, you must be pertaining to Box Drive which is desktop application that gives you the ability to access Box content from your desktop environment.

If you delete a folder or file that is saved in Box Drive, yes, it won't go your desktop Recycle Bin rather the deleted content will be in your Box Trash, since the the files/folders are only cached. This is expected that if you delete a file saved in Box, it will go to your Box Trash.
