Trying to unlock a folder and the option to lock/unlock doesn’t appear when you click on the 3 dots. Trying this from Box web application.

Are you currently collaborating on the folder? As noted in our Locking & Unlocking Files support guide:

If another user locks a file, any collaborator with Co-owner, Editor, or Viewer Uploader access can unlock it.

 

If you’re not seeing this option, it’s likely due to insufficient permissions. In that case, you may need to ask the user who locked the file to unlock it for you.


If you are the folder owner or have the necessary permissions but are still unable to lock or unlock the file, please let us know so we can investigate further.
