Polls: Interactive Feedback to Drive Future Features

@Jakub Piech PM Mobile  led several polls designed to gather data on user preferences. Topics covered included:

  1. Frequency of Box Mobile app usage

  2. Primary use cases for the app

  3. Integration of Box AI into mobile workflows

Jacob emphasized the importance of directly addressing user needs:"My biggest question would be: What could make you use mobile more often? What are the blockers stopping you? And what can we do to remove those barriers?"

Feature Requests and Feedback

Attendees contributed suggestions for Box Mobile’s enhancements:

  • A customer requested transcript generation directly in Box, currently executed via external AI tools like ChatGPT

  • Requests also highlighted navigation improvements to simplify workflows: "Box navigation today isn’t bad, but I think there’s an opportunity to make it much slicker and more intuitive."

Box Sign on Mobile: Expanding Approvals on the Go

A significant portion of feedback revolved around expanding Box Sign, currently optimized for desktop, to include mobile capabilities:

  • A participant described the need for streamlined approval processes on mobile devices: "We use Box Sign for approvals extensively, especially for executives who are on the road. If they could easily access their Box Sign inbox via mobile and approve documents quickly, it would save significant time versus digging through emails."

@Jakub Piech PM Mobile  shared that Box was actively exploring these ideas, saying: "Bringing Sign to mobile is definitely something we’re considering. We’re truly looking for feedback on how to make this process smoother for your team."

Enhancing Mobile Access to Box Hubs

A discussion addressing Box Hubs highlighted the potential to make them more accessible via mobile platforms:

  • One user described Hubs as an ideal wiki replacement but noted current limitations in usability: "The opportunity for Hubs would be having content as an easy-reference replacement for wikis. Current functionality needs to expand to support this fully."

AI Integration and Metadata Features

@Jakub Piech PM Mobile  led a conversation about AI’s role in Box Mobile, particularly for automating data workflows:

  • A participant from a mortgage brokerage explained their AI needs: "We process hundreds of documents weekly and see significant potential for AI to help with categorization, summary, and navigation. We’re eager for Box to expand its AI capabilities."

@Jakub Piech PM Mobile  highlighted Box’s existing AI document summary feature, encouraging users to explore its potential while asking for feedback on new AI use-case opportunities.

Looking Ahead: Consolidation of the Capture App into Box Mobile

@Jakub Piech PM Mobile  also shared a roadmap update about transitioning Box Capture App features into the main Box Mobile app.  "This consolidation process isn’t meant to scare—our goal is simplification. We’re aiming for one app that encompasses all capture features and more."
